Why it can handle hardwood and thick branches?
- High torque and consistent chain speed: The brushless motor delivers stable power, which — when combined with the right bar and chain — gives enough cutting force to slice through medium to fairly thick hardwood and limbs. This makes it suitable for garden maintenance, pruning large branches, or cutting firewood from small-to-medium logs.
- Optimized chain and bar length for typical yard jobs: SENGXIN picks a bar/chain configuration balanced to deliver enough bite and leverage, suitable for real-world tasks like trimming, branch removal, or light-to-moderate wood cutting.
- Efficient power usage: The motor's design minimizes energy loss, so it uses battery power efficiently, preserving cutting speed and torque through most of the cut.
Limits — what to expect realistically?
- For very large trunks or extremely dense hardwoods, the cordless saw will begin to approach its limits: the chain may slow, battery drain will increase, and repeated deep cuts may require pauses to let the tool cool or the chain stay sharp.
- For heavy-duty logging or frequent cutting of large diameter logs, a more powerful gas saw or larger pro-level saw might still be preferable.

What you can realistically do?

Built‑in safety measures
- Chain brake and quick-stop function: If the saw detects a kickback or sudden upward jerk (as when the tip of the guide bar contacts the wood/becomes pinched), the chain brake quickly stops the chain, reducing the chance of injury. This is standard for modern electric and battery chainsaws.
- Trigger lock / safety switch design: To prevent accidental startup, a safety interlock is built in — you must deliberately unlock and press the trigger to engage the chain. This helps avoid sudden starts or unintended rotation.

- Chain sharpness and tension: The saw chain must be kept sharp for efficient cutting — dull teeth make cutting harder, increase strain on motor, and raise risk of kickback. SENGXIN recommends checking chain sharpness often, and sharpening or replacing when cutting becomes slow or starts to burn wood.
- Chain lubrication and bar oil: The chain and guide bar must remain properly lubricated. Our design includes a lubricating oil reservoir for the bar and chain. Before each use, users should verify the oil level; during use, automatic or manual oil flow keeps the chain slick to reduce friction, heat, and wear.
- Cleaning debris and sawdust: After each use, it's important to clean sawdust, wood chips, sap, and residue from the chain, bar groove, and saw housing. This helps prevent overheating, wear, and reduced lubrication flow.
- Battery care: Because it's a cordless electric saw, take care of the battery — after use, remove it if storing, keep it in cool/dry conditions, avoid temperature or moisture exposure, and follow recommended charging procedures.
- Regular inspection of bar, sprocket, chain and tensioning system: Chains stretch or wear over time. Before each major use, inspect for wear, ensure proper tension (not too loose or tight), and replace worn components to avoid chain derailment or breakage.
